What Burns Me Up

Hail and Merry Meet!

Yesterday I was working and I'm not going to mention where I'm working but one of my coworkers talked to her friend about what happened to her mother's best friend and how she had been killed by people that claimed to be witches. Well she said that they were witches and that really burned me up. I normally don't care what this girl thinks but she's going to become a Manager and that just really burns me up.

What she said wasn't needed, or appreciated. Being a witch means a lot to me and I don't like it when people believe that someone is a witch just because they use that label. Psychopaths and sadists kill people, not witches. This is the fight that we have to continue to fight against and hopefully we'll win...one day.

12Th Stanza for Voluspo

Hail and Merry Meet!

Here's another stanza.

12: Vigg and Gandalf,
       Thekk and Thorin,
       Nyr and Nyrath,-
      Regin and Rathsvith-
      Vindalf, Thrain,
     Thror, Vit and Lit,
      now I have told-
     the list aright.

That's it for today. Have a good day and be safe and healthy.

Heathen Holiday: Gudrod's Day

Hail and Merry Meet!

Today we honor Gudrod, who opposed what King Olaf was doing to his people. He had his tongue cut out, which I'm going to say wasn't a good thing. This act, plus many more, would end up causing Olaf's death. Speak with your tongue, tell your truth, and don't say silent.

11th Stanza of Voluspo

Hail and Merry Meet!

After almost a year of not doing these I'm back doing them. I have my own copy of the Poetic Edda and I'm going to use that book for these entries.

11: Nyi and Nithi, Northri and Suthri, Austri and Vestri, Althjof, Dvalin, Nar and Nain, Niping, Dain, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Nori, An and Onar, Ai, Mjothvitnir.

That's it, just those names. There is some mention that Northri means North. Though I'm not the expert on that. Enjoy and thanks for reading.

My Mother's Passing (Late Post)

Hail and Merry Meet!

I had totally forgot about this blog and when I found it I couldn't believe how long I hadn't posted anything. Nearly three months ago my mother passed away and while I'm sadden, a lot, by the fact that she's gone I know that she's not suffering. She was a warrior in life and I do hope that she finally found her peace away from her pain and suffering. The huge comfort that I get is the fact that she's not around for the mess that's COVID-19. I don't think I would be in this shape if she had died from this disease.

May the gods watch over her and may she enjoy her place as my ancestor.
